Despite the sweltering heat, the City of Guthrie held its annual Independence Day celebration downtown Friday evening.
A crowd of all ages and from several neighboring cities, lined Ewing Street all evening, enjoying the food trucks, various vendors, and children’s activities.
The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Rock Band took the stage in the city’s Longhurst Park at 6, followed by Brock Sawyer and the 41A Band at 8.
The celebration concluded with a fireworks show at 10.
