Thousands took to Elkton Wednesday night for the annual B.R. Knuckles Insurance Agency 3rd of July on the Square Fireworks show.
Even with sweltering heat, many braved the conditions and took proper precautions to enjoy the 25-minute fireworks show at dark. Food trucks from around the region were on hand to provide plenty of options and minimal wait times for attendees.
Nashville singer/songwriter Lydia Simmonds provided entertainment on the stage leading up to the big finale. At the same time, children were entertained with bounce houses and other activities behind the Milliken Memorial House.
The downtown event officially started with the Todd County Chamber of Commerce Bicycle Parade, which featured a strong showing of Todd County’s youth – many of whom did multiple laps around the square.
