TCCHS Athletic Hall of Fame

On Saturday, September 21, at the TC vs. McLean County football game, the 1974 Rebel football team will be recognized and inducted into the TCCHS Athletic Hall of Fame.

The team record was 9-3-1

The 1974 Rebels were the Region 1 Mid-South champions.

In post-season play the Rebels won a game against Glasgow which determined the Region 1 Class A Championship.

The victory advanced the Rebels to a Class A state semi-final game in Paris, Kentucky, where their amazing post season run ended.

Our team won every home game that year.

As a student in the band on the sidelines, the excitement of our team’s success was felt throughout the county. The stands were full of Rebels fans from all over the county. There were moments in time that brought everyone together to support our team.

The excitement was electric.

The band marched down the field playing our “Fight Song” as we formed a big open “T” for our team to run through and onto the field.
