Quicker emergency medical response in the county may be on the horizon after Friday’s Fiscal Court meeting.
In its regularly scheduled meeting Friday morning, the Court approved a motion that will allow Judge Executive Todd Mansfield to enter into an agreement to purchase a .9 acre lot, across the street from North Todd Elementary School that will be the site of an additional ambulance service.
Mansfield says the $40,000 land purchase is just the beginning of a plan aimed at providing quicker and more efficient emergency medical response to the county’s residents.
Mansfield says the county also has plans for a 3rd ambulance service in Guthrie.
A long-awaited facelift at the Elkton Senior Citizens Center will soon begin after magistrates approved a bid for its renovation. The $799,750 bid, awarded to C&C Contracting LLC, was one of 2 bids submitted for the project.
In other news, the Court voted to reappoint Guthrie resident Mary Charles King to the Todd County Housing Authority for another 2-year term and approved a donation of $1,000 to the Green River Academy.
The Court also approved a donation of $1,500 to TCCHS Project Graduation after senior class officer Abby Williams appealed to the Court.
