TCCHS Alumni Foundation Meets IRS Requirements for Tax-Exempt Status

In 2023, the TCCHS Alumni Association directors formed a new non-profit organization, the TCCHS Alumni Foundation, Inc.

Founding member Carolyn Wells writes the Articles of Incorporation were signed at the state level last June, and the organization was recently notified by the IRS that the Alumni Foundation has been approved as a tax-exempt public charity. The foundation is thankful for the many individuals who assisted in obtaining the group’s 501(c)(3) status — Tyler Gill and ELPO Law, Kentucky State Representative Jason Petrie, the TCCHS Alumni Board of Directors, Earl Calhoun and his staff of Calhoun & Company.

Wells is grateful for the support the organization received in the past and says she knows they will continue to be blessed with those who support the foundation’s efforts of providing scholarships to TCCHS graduates. Those interested in making a donation can make checks payable to the TCCHS Alumni Foundation, P.O. Box 611, Elkton, KY, 42220. She adds to reach out to the foundation for any questions or to sponsor a scholarship. The foundation can be reached at tcchs@gmail.com.

Foundation memberships are $10 annually or $200 for a lifetime membership. Those funds go toward the scholarship effort as well as any additional sold merchandise. For more information, visit the foundation website at https://tcchs-alumni.org.
