A man was charged with arson after a house fire on Old Allensville Road in Todd County Thursday night.
Todd County Emergency Manager Daniel Smith says they were called for a structure fire on Old Allensville Road and found smoke coming from the home.
The occupant of the home was treated by Todd County EMS at the scene. Authorities say 45-year-old Patrick Morris was later arrested at the same house by Kentucky State Police and charged with third-degree arson.
Elkton firefighters were assisted by Todd County EMS, along with Allensville, Sharon Grove, and Guthrie fire departments.
