A home on Tress Shop Road in Trenton was destroyed in a fire Tuesday night.
Trenton Fire Department Chief John Stahl says they were called for a report of a house fire and found the two-story home and garage fully engulfed in flames.
The owner was able to get out of the home uninjured but the home is considered a total loss. Stahl says the wind caused the fire to spread very quickly making it hard to extinguish.
Trenton Fire Department was assisted by Guthrie Fire Department, Elkton Fire Department, Fairview Fire Department, Trenton Police, Todd County EMA, Todd County Chaplains, Todd County EMS, and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.
The home that was owned by a long-time Trenton firefighter is located at the 7900 block of Tress Shop Road.
