In a special-called meeting Friday, the Todd County Fiscal Court voted to allocate $150,000 for operating expenses to the Todd County Sheriff’s Department.
According to Todd County Sheriff Tracy White, the funding will allow the department to operate once the new year rolls around.
Additionally, Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield addressed concerns over the absence of a traffic signal on US 68/80 West at Kentucky 475/Tress Shop Road.
Mansfield told magistrates that constituents have expressed concern over the safety of the intersection after a traffic accident this week that resulted in the death of a Todd County woman.
