Todd County Funeral Home and Cremation Service and Cook-Webb Funeral Home came up with a unique way to thank the community for 20 years of business Friday.
Owner Shane Hessey told Your WEKT News Edge they spent Friday afternoon shaving off 20 percent of people’s grocery bills.
Both took place at Food Giant locations Friday, with Elkton store manager Tony Singleton saying his customers appreciated the kind gesture.
“Big John,” a former employee of the Elkton Food Giant, was one of the customers who took advantage of the savings Friday. He shared his appreciation for Hessey and his funeral homes.
Hessey has owned the Todd County Funeral Home since 2003 when he purchased Martin Funeral Home. He purchased Cook-Webb Funeral Home in Guthrie in 2007.
