Stacey Kay Mock is a 1999 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
After graduating, she attended Hopkinsville Community College, Western Kentucky University, Murray State University, and Campbellsville University. She holds a master’s degree in social work and is also a licensed therapist. Mock says her current career, dual-diagnosis therapy, chose her and she firmly believes it is what she was placed on Earth to do.
Mock values most from her time at Todd Central the lifelong friendships and treasured memories that were made. Some of those treasured memories include junior prom and her graduation. She also remembers her favorite teacher, Mr. Gaddie, pep rallies, and Friday night football games.
To current students, Mock says they should apply themselves now and reap the benefits later on. To current educators, she says to breathe, practice patience and empathy, be intentionally present, listen to the students, and remember why they became an educator.
Mock was born in Allegre, Kentucky and now lives in Elkton. She and her spouse Jamie have two children, Chloe and Mason.
