The Todd County Industrial Foundation presented a resolution to the family of the late John Walton during its October meeting Thursday.
Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield, who has served as foundation president – since Walton’s passing, told Your WEKT News Edge members approved the resolution in July.
During his 79 years on Earth; Walton served as a Mayor of Elkton, Director of Marketing for the Logan-Todd Regional Water Commission, a board member of the Green River Academy Preservation Society, and a member of many more boards. He also helped to secure more than $100 million in funding for communities and organizations in Todd County.
In other Todd County Industrial Foundation news, Mansfield said the group was made aware of some grants that have been applied for in recent months.
The Todd County Industrial Foundation meets monthly.
