For almost two years, Billy Goat Hill has been a familiar presence on Elkton’s historic square.
The farm-to-table restaurant and store prides itself on its commitment to providing Kentucky-local food, according to owner Melissa Weathers.
Weathers says she and her husband/co-owner Robbie Weathers have a great time serving the community.
She adds it was always a dream of hers to open her own restaurant.
Recently, the Billy Goat Hill store has started to offer ice cream from Chaney’s Dairy Barn in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Billy Goat Hill doesn’t just serve the community through food – the restaurant has a monthly “ministry day”, where all money raised by the restaurant on a particular day is donated to a cause in Todd County. In September, Billy Goat Hill raised over $2,000 for Taylor Borders to help with her mission with Life Choice Pregnancy Center.
