Gary Wayne Haley is a 1979 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
Haley values his classmates most from his time at Todd Central and treasures the memory of his first day as a freshman in high school, noting it felt like he had actually gotten somewhere for a change. Haley adds he still remembers his senior year’s 0-11 football season and says it still smarts.
Haley advises current Todd Central students to listen and observe their teachers both in and out of class, because there is more to what they can learn than what is in their books.
He encourages current educators never to give up on any of their students, because education can be a social and economic salvation for some children.
After graduating, Haley attended Western Kentucky University and later went into sales and marketing.
Haley was born in Lewisburg, Kentucky and still lives there today. He has three children, Adam, Christine and Hunter.
