Nathan Moseley is a 2000 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
Looking back on his time in school, Moseley values his friendships and his learning experience most at Todd Central, both socially and educationally.
He remembers a sense of adventure at Todd Central, where the entire world of opportunity was at his fingertips. He also notes the school’s faculty and his mentors who challenged him to be his best self had a big impact on him. Moseley says he will always treasure the memory of his senior year.
Moseley says the world is out there, so he advises current Todd Central students to be sure to use some time to understand more about what the world can offer them as they prepare for their post-high school experience. He says to keep as many open doors as possible to give themselves the power of choice versus acceptance. He adds to explore their interests, dream big and chase their dreams until they have met their goals.
To current educators, Moseley says in times where one’s doubts attempt to convince them they aren’t making a difference, it’s important to know this isn’t true. He says the actions, leadership, guidance and mentoring from educators all play a significant role in students’ development. They may never know exactly who they are affecting or when they influence someone, but he assures them they do each day. Moseley says what educators are doing matters greatly, now more than ever, and their dedication to their students is building the foundation for developing one of the world’s most precious resources. They are developing core critical thinking skills and empowering the youth to dare to ask “why.”
After graduating, Moseley attended Western Kentucky University and earned a bachelor’s degree in geography and climatology with a minor in English literature before earning his master’s in organizational leadership and development from Brandman University.
Currently, he is a United States Air Force Instructor Aircraft Commander in the C-17A and T-6A.
Moseley was born in Clarksville, Tennessee and now makes his home in San Antonio, Texas with his wife, Tori Stedman-Moseley.
