Todd County Central High School boasts two organizations traveling to state competitions later this month.
Superintendent Mark Thomas offers his congratulations to the TCCHS archery team, who recently won the All “A” Regional Championship and have now qualified to compete in the state tournament Feb. 22.
The TCCHS dance team also qualified for their state championship in two different divisions – pom and hip hop. They will be competing Feb. 22 as well, in Frankfort, Kentucky.
In other news, North Todd Elementary will host a “Mad Science” preschool night Thursday, Feb. 13. The interactive event will feature science experiments by Tennessee-based science education group Mr. Bond’s Science Guys. The group will perform two shows at 5 and 6 p.m.
Thomas reminds students and parents Friday, Feb. 14 will be an early release day for the district and there will be no school Monday. Feb. 17.
