Sheryl Powell is a 1971 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
Powell values memories with friends most from her time at Todd Central. She also has fond memories with the band and traveling to away games with the pep band.
She advises current Todd Central students to do their best and enjoy their high school years by participating in school activities.
After graduating, Powell attended Austin Peay State University and earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education before earning her master’s and Rank 1 from Western Kentucky University.
She started teaching in 1975 and throughout her career, has taught at Clifty Elementary, Central City Elementary and Muhlenberg North Middle School. Powell retired from her role as an educator in 2015 but still teaches part-time.
Powell was born in Russellville, Kentucky and now lives in Elkton. She was married to the late Jim Powell and has three children, Chanda Fowler, Josh Powell and Tara Cox.
