The City of Elkton will kick off the holiday season this weekend with the city’s second annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
The event will take place Saturday, Nov. 30 on the square, starting at 3 p.m. and running until around 7 p.m.
The event will feature free carriage rides, hot chocolate provided by Living Water Ministries, a S’mores bar provided by the DeBerry family, professional photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus and their reindeer as well as live musical performances by choirs and local artists.

The tree lighting will take place at the end of the night.
