The Guthrie Main Street program is offering a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to sell their handcrafted/homemade items.

Executive Manager Tracy Robinson tells Your WEKT News Edge the store, Main Street Market at Longhurst’s, will be a gift shop.

She added that the store will be in the former Longhurst General Store building in downtown Guthrie, which Bill Longhurst operated until his 2018 death.

Robinson shared that the idea for the gift shop was that of current board member and Bill’s son, Russ Longhurst, and his family.

Robinson stated that the Guthrie Main Street program will support businesses by offering marketing assistance, covering state taxes, and more. Entrepreneurs will retain 70 percent of their product sales.

Main Street Market at Longhurst’s will open its doors on Wednesday, December 4th, and will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
