The Todd County Dolly Parton Imagination Library program is seeking donations to continue funding the program for local children.
During last week’s Todd County Fiscal Court meeting, longtime community member and library advocate Carolyn Wells and new Library Director Amanda Hayes approached the body seeking a donation for the program.
Wells shared the benefits of the program with magistrates.
She added that the program offers equality for each child who participates.
Wells said the program has been wildly successful across the state and is available for any child between the ages of newborn and five.
Following her presentation, magistrates approved a $2,500 donation, this comes after the City of Elkton presented a $500 donation earlier in the week.
Donations to the program can be dropped off at the Todd County Public Library at 507 South Main Street in Elkton.
