The Sharon Grove Volunteer Fire Department is thanking the community for a successful fundraiser over the weekend.
The fundraiser took place Saturday and featured a BBQ lunch, an auction, and a gun raffle that Miles Powell won. The department told Your WEKT News Edge that $16,437 was raised, which included a $2,500 matching donation from Kathy Morgan from Modern Woodmen of America in Elkton.
Funds raised help the department purchase new fire fighting equipment and equipment maintenance.
