Todd County Clerk Cindy O’Bryan was quite pleased Tuesday night when announcing that just over 60 percent of registered voters got out and cast a ballot in the 2024 November General Election.
This year, despite having only 8,512 registered voters, down from 9,050 in 2020, Todd County experienced a one-percent increase in voter participation. O’Bryan told Your WEKT News Edge she was proud of everyone who got out to vote this year.
O’Bryan mentioned that handling over 900 write-in votes, many of which were not for registered candidates, posed an additional challenge this year.
