Todd County Rescue Squad Continues To Fundraise For Facility Upkeep

Along with their dispatch duties, the Todd County Rescue Squad stays hard at work fundraising for the organization.

The group recently had a successful Donkey Basketball fundraising event at the end of September and later joined local organizations at HarvestFest to raise funds, grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for festival goers.

Chief Larry Clinard says the rescue squad is always in need of funds for general maintenance – the group is made up entirely of around 35 volunteers and almost all the money they receive for maintenance and upkeep comes from the generosity of Todd Countians.

The rescue squad operates out of their facility outside Elkton at 185 Moe Lane, built in 2016 and funded entirely by community donations. Clinard adds they keep a few trucks spaced out throughout the county in Elkton, Guthrie and Sharon Grove.
