The Todd County Board of Education approved the purchase of two new buses during its Monday evening meeting.
Board members approved the purchase of two 66-passenger IC Buses with a combined cost north of $304,000. Both buses are expected to arrive by June 2025.
In other action, the board approved an updated salary schedule to include a $3,500 stipend for a dance coach and a $1,000 stipend for an assistant dance coach at Todd County Central High School.
Additionally, board vice-chairman Josh Mosby was approved to serve on the local planning committee.
Students will soon enjoy an extended weekend, as Monday, November 4th is a Curriculum Day for teachers and staff, followed by a day off on Tuesday, November 5th, in observance of Election Day in Kentucky.
