Mr. Bartley Myers Jr age 78 of Elkton, passed away Thursday September 19, 2024, at Hospice House in Bowling Green. Mr. Barts family has chosen a service at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with military honors.
Mr. Bart was born August 5, 1946, in Montgomery County, TN. He was retired after 30 years with TVA, he was a truck driver for Averitt Express for 13 years and was a Methodist Minister for 15 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Bells Chapel United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents Bartley Myers Sr. and Dorothy Lucille Chapman Myers.
He is survived by his wife Charolotte Murray Myers of Elkton, KY, his son Alan Roper of Elkton, KY, his daughter Dawn Michele Christie of Morehead, KY, his brother Thomas J. “Tom” Myers of Chattanooga, TN. His grandchildren Jimmie Lyn Rowan of Bowling Green, KY and Connor J. Christie of Morehead, KY, his great grandchild Emery Gifford of Bowling Green, KY.
