Quarles adds there are quite a few new staff members joining the team this year.

He calls the new additions an “a-team” with the experience they bring to the school and Quarles can’t wait to see their great work throughout the year.

As students return to campus, Quarles reminds them to be mindful of the weapons detector in the front of the school. As of now, containers such as tumbler cups are allowed at Todd Central where they aren’t at other schools, but Quarles plans to be more diligent about searching containers and what’s coming into the building this year. He notes the detectors are simply another measure to ensure students’ safety.

TCCHS’s first day of school is Friday, Aug. 9.
