Todd County Middle School is excited to welcome students back to campus for the 2024-25 school year.
Principal Kim Davis says the school’s custodians have been working hard throughout the summer getting the space clean and ready for the new school year.
She adds students can expect to see a few new faces when they return to school.
There have also been a few internal changes with the faculty.
Additionally, Todd Middle instructor Steven McGhee has been promoted to the school’s new assistant principal, who Davis says has been fantastic to work with.
Superintendent Mark Thomas says the middle school is rolling out some new programs this year, continuing with multimedia and expanding the high school’s ag science program.
The start of the school year brings increased traffic in Elkton, and Thomas says the middle school will see an improvement this year with a new turn lane, allowing cars to more efficiently enter the school’s campus.
Todd County Middle School’s first day of school is Friday, Aug. 9.
