Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) recently created the brand-new TVA Robotics Award Program for schools in the seven-state region.
The award could supply valuable funding for existing robotics programs as well as provide a way to bring robotics to schools who don’t have that access, according to TVA Media Senior Specialist Adam May.
Building on the previous TVA STEM Classroom Awards program that began in 2015, the TVA Robotics Award will award up to $5,000 per school to purchase tools, materials and robotics kits, and to cover competition entry fees.
Applications are currently open and will close May 15. Awardees will be announced August 1. Find more information about the program and access the application HERE.
