A Todd Central FFA member has risen to regional leadership, as Ally Clardy was elected as the 2025-26 Pennyrile Region FFA president.
Clardy is the daughter of a first generation farmer. She witnessed first hand the struggles of starting a farm from the ground up as well as the rewards of farmlife. 10 years ago her grandfather and father began a beef farm behind their house. They have gone on to buy two other farms in the area, where they raise and sell black angus cattle. Clardy helps to do daily tasks and has a small herd of her own.
Her journey to region president started in the classroom.
Clardy says she was not as active in her first two years in FFA. After encouragement from her FFA advisors, Shayla Berry and Quashawn Quarles, she decided to join the livestock judging team. Clardy went on to compete at the National level in Kansas City, Missouri which qualified her to run for regional officer.
Clardy had never been interviewed before this process. She talks about what the preparation looked like.
Although she was just elected, Clardy already has a plan.
As Clardy steps into her new leadership role, she is eager to use her platform to inspire and support fellow FFA members across the Pennyrile Region.
