Todd County’s Farm Family Ag Expo Brought Safety, Education, and Community Together

The Todd County Extension Office partnered with local FFA and 4-H to create a Farm Family Ag Expo. They offered breakfast, safety demonstrations, health screenings, and more. Alan Watts was there for National Ag Week.

Department of Agriculture Safety Administrator and Raising Hope Director Dale Dobson visited Todd Co. for the Farm Family Ag Expo. He talks about Raising Hope and the programs he has been to around the state.

Jamie Guffey, Executive Director for the Kentucky Poultry Federation, speaks on the Poultry Federation and Cal-Maine Foods Inc.

Todd Central Co. FFA Advisor, Shayla Berry talks about the major role the FFA students had in the event.

Todd County Extension Agent Traci Johnson discusses what was offered at the event. FFA member Will Tabor talks about the tractor rollover station where he taught about rollover safety. Fellow FFA member Nathan Phelps discussed what it was like to organize the event.

Along with FFA, members of 4-H were helping as well. Members talk about what they did at Farm Family Ag Expo. Community members, The Berry’s also talk about how important the event is.

Agriculture Safety is an important part in the industry. The goal of the Expo and others across the state are implemented to help inform farmers and the general public alike.
