Mrs. Emma Jean Tabb Blake age 95 of Hopkinsville, KY passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at her residence. Services will be on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton, KY. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 12 noon till the funeral hour at Latham Funeral Home in Elkton. Services will be live-streamed at lathamfuneralhome.com.
Mrs. Emma was born on February 26, 1930, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and loved babysitting. She was a member of Fruithill Missionary Baptist Church She is preceded in death by her husband William Clayton Blake her parents Lawrence Jeremiah Tabb and Alice Slayton Tabb, her brothers Oscar Tabb, Jewel Tabb, and Howard Tabb, her sisters Ruby Brown, Lucille Page, Janie Upton, Dorothy Bush, and Mary Ellen Tabb.
She is survived by her sons Lawrence R. Blake and his wife Sandy Kay of Crofton, KY, and Jeffrey L. Blake and his wife Kim of Herndon, KY, her daughters Jo Blake Lovelace of Lebanon, TN, Vicki Blake of Hopkinsville, KY, and Christy Blake Adams and her husband Joe of Hopkinsville, KY, her grandchildren Laura (Gary) Durham, Heather (P.A.) Allen, David (Mallory) Blake, Chris (Mandy) Blake, Casey Blake, Thomas (Lucy) Adams, Emily (Teagan) Denny, and Clayton Blake, 10 great-grandchildren.
