A Sharon Grove woman was charged with assaulting a detective during a drug investigation on Shemwell Road in Todd County Thursday night.
Todd County Sheriff’s deputies say a joint investigation with the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force led to the arrest of 35-year-old Paula Herrin on outstanding warrants for contempt of court.
During the arrest, she reportedly fought with detectives knocking one of them to the ground, then landing on top of him, breaking his ankle.
Deputies say Herrin was in possession of meth.
She was arrested and charged with possession of meth third offense, second-degree assault, and resisting arrest.
