Three of Todd County Schools’ concert bands received distinguished ratings during their music performance assessments at Western Kentucky University Thursday, March 13.
Todd County Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade bands and TCCHS’s concert band all received this coveted honor last week. Scoring criteria is based on a few different factors, including the level of musicianship in sight-reading and live music performance. Distinguished is the highest rating a music ensemble can receive during assessments, and every judge present awarded Todd County with this score.
In a statement released by the district, Todd County Schools says the bands played beautifully and represented the county very well. They are very proud of the students’ hard work and dedication.
