Three Todd County Central High School students participated in last week’s annual Elkton Rotary Club speech contest.

This year’s theme was ‘The Magic of Rotary.’

TCCHS Freshman Wan Amira, an exchange student from Malaysia, said Rotary allows people of all different kinds to make a difference in their community.

Amira added that every action, no matter its size, makes an impact.

TCCHS Freshman Memphis Bell told Rotarians the most powerful part of Rotary International is the fact they bring everyone together.

During his speech, Sophomore Amonzo Osborne shared recent examples of how the Elkton Rotary Club helped Todd County Public Schools.

Amira secured first place, earning $300 and a spot in the district rotary competition. Bell won $200 for second place, while Osborne came in third, receiving $100.
