Trigg County native Terry Hamby was honored during the annual Eagle Ambassador Breakfast hosted Tuesday morning by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee.
United States Senator Mitch McConnell spoke highly of Hamby via a video played during the event.
McConnell added that Hamby’s hard work has given millions of Americans the opportunity to remember the brave men and women who fought and died for our freedoms.
Hamby was awarded the annual Screaming Eagle Award. He accepted the award, acknowledging it belonged to everyone who helped create the National World War I Memorial in Washington, D.C.
He acknowledged the work was done in a backward way, but he remained proud of the achievement.
Phillip Eastman, representing the Military Affairs Committee, presented the annual MAC Service Award to Anthony Livingston and PepsiCo, recognizing their significant contributions to Fort Campbell in recent years.
MAC Director Shannon Lane also presented Livingston with a special token of appreciation from Colonel Rick Turner and the ‘Rakkasans.’
Colonel James Stultz, outgoing Commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team ‘Strike,’ was the keynote speaker at the breakfast. He provided updates on Operation Lethal Eagle and the global deployments of Fort Campbell personnel.
