A wreck on US 68 in Elkton sent a woman to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Elkton Police Department Captain Jakop Smith says a vehicle driven by 88-year-old Mildred Young of Elkton was attempting to cross US 68 from West Jeff Davis Highway and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by 79-year-old Linda Powell of Elkton who was on US 68.
The crash caused Powell’s vehicle to cross the median and overturn before coming to a stop.
Young and Powell were checked out by Todd County EMS for minor injuries with only Young being taken by a family member to the hospital.
Elkton Police were assisted by the Todd County Sheriff’s Department, Elkton Fire Department, Todd County Rescue, and Todd County EMS.
