Todd County students excelled at their recent Governor’s Cup district competition.
Superintendent Mark Thomas says students competed in elementary and middle school levels, bringing home dozens of wins for the county.
At the elementary level, South Todd won the overall district competition with North Todd following close behind in second – not to mention the many different wins for each school in various categories.
Thomas adds the middle school also competed well in its Governor’s Cup competition, with the Future Problem Solvers team winning second place and middle school student Thomas Dillingham placing fourth in the social studies category.
In other school district news, TCCHS basketball is getting ready to wrap up with only two weeks left of the regular season. Thomas says this week has been jam packed with district games for the boys and girls teams.
Another home game will take place Friday, Feb. 14 , where senior night will be held for TCCHS’s basketball, cheer, and dance teams. Newly selected Todd County Hall of Fame recipients will also be recognized, as well as Todd County Training School graduates.
Thomas reminds parents and students Friday is an early release day and there will be no school Monday, Feb. 17.
