Trenton Updates Police Policies In Advance Of Safety Review

In preparation for an upcoming safety and liability review of the city’s police department, the Trenton City Commission approved several new police policies at its regularly scheduled meeting Monday evening.

The review, spearheaded by an outside law enforcement expert and authorized by the Kentucky League of Cities, will examine the city’s insurance liability and encourage the city’s police department to implement best practices.

City Clerk Carol Chester told commissioners that the new policies would align with the city’s existing police policies and bring the city into compliance.

The commission also approved a $250 annual donation to the Elkton City Todd County Park and a $100 donation to the Todd County Central Class of 2025 Project Graduation.

The city’s annual employee and volunteer appreciation dinner has been scheduled for March 6 at 6 PM at the Travelers Lantern.
