Gas Prices Remain Steady In West Central Kentucky

Gas prices in west central Kentucky are relatively stable from last week, up only a penny per gallon on average — now $2.68.

That’s according to the AAA East Central Gas Price Report, which noted prices were near $2.67 seven days ago, and $2.72 this time last year.

In key locations across the Commonwealth, it’s $2.65 in Bowling Green, $2.62 in Elizabethtown, $2.76 in Louisville, $2.61 in Owensboro and $2.76 in Paducah.

Oil costs have eased, and tepid domestic demand have actually helped lower average pump prices by three cents, to $3.09, across the country. This is only three cents more than a month ago, and six cents less than a year ago.

At the close of last Wednesday’s formal trading session, West Texas Intermediate fell $1.15 to settle at $72.62 a barrel.
