A wreck on Greenville Road in Clifty led to several charges for a Clarksville woman including DUI and receiving stolen property Thursday afternoon.
Todd County Sheriff’s Deputy Patrick Turner says an SUV driven by 25-year-old Deborah Stanford failed to navigate a curve at a high rate of speed and ran off the road hitting a concrete culvert, a fence, driving across a cow pasture, through a barbed wire fence, before hitting multiple rolls of hay.
She was reportedly yelling and chanting things about Jesus then became violent and combative when being escorted to the ambulance.
Turner says she was under the influence of some kind of drug. The vehicle she was driving had been previously reported stolen and her driver’s license had been suspended.
She was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, DUI, receiving stolen property, reckless driving, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
