Todd County 4-H has a few upcoming opportunities for its teen council.
The 4-H Teen Leadership Ski Retreat will be held Thursday, Jan. 23 through Saturday, Jan. 25. Teen counselors will travel to Lawrenceburg, Indiana for a weekend of fun, laughter, teamwork and leadership. This is a rewards trip for active 4-H teens involved in Teen Council.
Qualifying students will be excused from school Thursday and Friday afternoon to participate in the retreat.
4-H teens will have another outing on President’s Day, Monday, Feb. 17, in Owensboro, Kentucky for a day of ice skating as well as a meeting for 4-H teens in the area. Transportation will be provided from Todd County to Owensboro. Students should sign up with the Extension Office if they plan to attend – the cost is $10 per person.
4-H Camp is still months away, but students interested in attending camp as a teen counselor should note they must be a member of the 4-H Teen Council. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25 at the Extension Office from 3:15-4:00 p.m.
4-H Camp is slated for Monday, July 14 through Friday, July 18.
