Todd County middle and high school students are invited to audition for the county’s 4-H Performing Arts Troupe.
The club is accepting new members who are interested in singing and performing in an ensemble.
4-H Extension Agent Lee Ann McCuiston leads the troupe during the school district’s spring semester, running until around May. There will be a few opportunities for the troupe to perform – in 2024, the group held a “Night of the Arts” collaboration concert with the TCCHS choir, concerts at the district’s elementary schools and a special performance at the Kentucky State Fair.
Any middle or high school student is welcome to attend the first meeting Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. at the high school auditorium. Students are asked to perform a two-minute song of their choice.
McCuiston notes nobody is cut from the group because that isn’t the 4-H way – the auditions are simply for her to assess the students’ talents and where they can be placed with solos.
