Destal Henderson, 95, Pilot Rock Road, Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, January 3, 2025 at Hearthstone Place in Elkton, KY of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Lamb Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Clark officiating and Rev. Neil Immel assisting. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the funeral home.
A native of Todd County, KY, she was born March 15, 1929, the daughter of the late William Franklin Rager and the late Fannie Susan Jones.
Destal was a beautician and farmer. She was a member of New Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday school and vacation bible school teacher for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Henderson; her siblings, JD (Margie) Rager, Gladys (Elbert) Henderson, and Helen (Estil) Naylor; and her half-siblings, Harold Dean (Patsy) Naylor, Velma Martin, and Edward Rager.
Survivors include her sister, Shirley (Carland) Powell, Todd County, KY; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that loved her very much.
