The Todd County Water District is providing tips to help prevent service disruptions to your home or business during the upcoming cold snap.
Office Manager Carla Knight said that customers should ensure meter box lids are secure. If the lid is missing, contact your utility provider for a replacement.
She added that faucets should be allowed to drip to prevent freezing, especially at night, while keeping cabinet doors under sinks open to allow warm air to get to the pipes.
Knight shared that all outside hoses should also be disconnected and that you insulate any outside spigots or hydrants.
