The Cook-Webb Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Terry Andrew Tilghman.
Mr. Terry Tilghman, age 81 of Guthrie, passed away on Saturday, December 28th at his home.
Terry was born September 6, 1943, in Jackson, Tennessee the son of the late Andrew Paris Tilghman and Janie Sue Scott Tilghman.
He was employed with PTL Fabricators and valued all his coworkers. His favorite pastime was competing in quarter-scale tractor pulls. His gruff exterior was to cover up the giant heart and love he had for his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Gayle Atchley Tilghman, and two stepbrothers, Billy and Mike Greene.
He is survived by a sister, Doris Ann Davenport of Centralia, Illinois; two daughters, Sandra Gayle Mohon and Terri Renee Tilghman-Douglas (Allen) both of Guthrie; two grandchildren, Rachel Williams (Michael) and John Thomas Ford, two great-grandchildren, Kora and Anya Williams and his grand pups, Gizzie and Faith. Also surviving is his companion, LaNita VanDyke of Trenton, Tennessee.
Visitation with the Tilghman family will be on Saturday, January 4th from 4:00 until 8:00 and again on Sunday, January 5th from noon until funeral service time at 2:00 at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home in Guthrie with Chris Gorrell and Russ Boisseau officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Guthrie.
