On Thursday, Governor Andy Beshear announced a significant boost to Kentucky’s manufacturing sector with Greenville Manufacturing Kentucky’s decision to relocate a new facility to Muhlenberg County.
During his Team Kentucky Update, Gov. Beshear said that Greenville Manufacturing Kentucky is investing over $16 million, creating over 200 jobs in the state.
He extended a special shout-out to the employees who had gathered for a Christmas luncheon on Thursday and were watching his news conference via live stream.
In a written statement, Muhlenberg County Judge-Executive Mack McGehee highlighted the project’s long-term economic impact and thanked Gov. Beshear, the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development, and Ray Hagerman of the Muhlenberg Economic Growth Alliance for their efforts.
Hagerman expressed excitement about welcoming the company as the first client at Paradise Park Regional Industrial Park. They are celebrating with their partners in Daviess, Hopkins, McLean, and Ohio counties in providing opportunities for the entire region.
Governor Beshear highlighted that since the start of his administration, over 1,000 private-sector projects have been launched or expanded, resulting in nearly $35 billion in announced investments and approximately 58,000 jobs. He noted that this is the highest investment figure achieved by any governor in the commonwealth’s history, surpassing the previous record of $13.5 billion.
