The Cook-Webb Funeral Home is honored to have been called to serve the family of Mr. Louis C. Vogle.
Mr. Louis Vogle, age 78 of Allensville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 7th at AHC Rehab and Nursing Home in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Louis was born October 13, 1946 in Clarksville, Tennessee son of the late George Stone Vogle and Viola Buena Smith Vogle.
He was a man with a good work ethic, a good sense of humor and cherished spending time with his loved ones. He was a member of the Guthrie Methodist Church and he also served in the United States Navy. He was a farmer his entire life whether it was on his own farm or farming with others, this was his passion. He was also employed as a large equipment mechanic at the Ft. Campbell military base. He loved his family, helping others, a good home cooked meal and being around friends. Louis also loved driving his Mennonite friends from place to place in his spare time.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sinks Vogle; a sister, Betty Anne Hamlet and a granddaughter, Cali Anne Long. He is survived by two daughters, Kristen Long (Chris) of Gracey, Kentucky and Julie Schmidt (Ernie) of Allensville; three grandchildren, Cooper Stone Long, Carly Shay Long both of Gracey and Jaida Noel Schmidt of Allensville. Also surviving are two nephews, two nieces and many cousins and close friends who are more like family.
Visitation with the Vogle family will be on Wednesday, December 11th from 12:00 until service time at 2:00 at the Guthrie Methodist Church in Guthrie. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 with Pastor Mark Carrigan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Guthrie Methodist Church.
