During its regular board meeting Monday night, the Todd County Board of Education swore in a new board member and honored a student and staff member.
District 3 board member Greg Russell was sworn in after winning the November general election as a write-in candidate. Russell beat Ashley Hadden and won the election following Dr. Kelley Groves’ resignation to become a Teacher Support Specialist. He will serve the remainder of her term and the next four years.
Superintendent Mark Thomas also honored ‘Student of the Month’ recipient Daniel Perez-Carrillo, a 5th grader from South Todd Elementary School, and ‘Making a Difference’ recipient Matthew Talley, a custodian at South Todd.
