Patsy Harris is a 1967 graduate of Todd County Central High School.
Harris remembers being at school when President John F. Kennedy was assassinated – just before her English class. She notes this is what she remembers most from her time in school.
She has fond memories of time in school with her best friend, but says the one memory she will always treasure is that she survived being different.
Harris advises current Todd Central students to be curious. She says people who think they are giving good information can sometimes be wrong.
To current educators, she says to keep an open mind. Harris adds they should encourage curiosity and independent thinking, as well as appreciate different approaches and points of view.
After graduating, Harris attended the University of Kentucky. She is a lover and caretaker of cats, dogs and all animals.
