The Allegre Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a fall fundraising event Friday, Oct. 25.
Chief Steven Weaver says the event will be a nice evening with good food and live music.
Admission is $20 for all-you-can-eat and the fire department will be serving grilled brats, chili, pretzels, ice cream, funnel cakes and pumpkin and apple pies. Kids ages six and under eat free.
Weaver says live music will be supplied by a local “pickin’ band” who often have jam sessions at the Sharon Grove Fire Department. He adds the organization will not have an auction this time, instead opting for a relaxing evening with music, cornhole and bouncy houses for kids.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the department’s equipment expenses. Weaver says the organization recently purchased a first responder vehicle – the group hopes to raise money to outfit the vehicle in order to help the community and better assist EMS on medical calls.
The fire department’s fundraiser will be held at their facility at 5712 Allegre Rd. from 5-8 p.m. For more information, contact Weaver at 270-878-0320.
