Mitchell, Carver Honored With October TCPS Awards

2-1

During Monday evening’s Todd County Board of Education meeting, a Todd Middle student and a North Todd teacher were honored for their contributions.

Todd Middle School Principal Kimberly Davis shared that 8th-grade student Amasya Mitchell deserved the October ‘Student of the Month’ award.

She added when you see Mitchell throughout the school day; she is always kind, waving to everyone, and smiling. Davis added that her comment to RTI Writing Teacher Julie Hamlet during the third week of school is what stood out.

Also, during the meeting, the October ‘Making a Difference Award’ went to Brett Carver. She is a 4th grade science teacher at North Todd Elementary.

Carver was nominated by Principal Laura Boley, who was not in attendance, so Superintendent Mark Thomas presented her award.

Both awards were presented during the monthly regular board of education meeting at Todd County Middle School.
